The Chairman, Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Ladi Oladimeji, has appealed to the club’s supporters and fans to exercise patience and continue to support it to excel in the ongoing league.

The Afonja Warlords played a spineless 1-1 draw against fellow Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) strugglers, Go Round FC of Omuku on Sunday.

The NPFL Match Day 18 result means Kwara United has failed to win in four different matches recording four successive draws.

Oladimeji addressing the supporters appealed for calm saying that the management of the club was doing everything possible to reposition it.

“The management are taking necessary steps to ensure that the team return to winning ways, while top notch players will be recruited to beef up the team in its areas of deficiency.

“We are exploring the opportunity of the transfer window market and I can assure you that we are going to bounce back to our rightful position in the NPFL.

“We equally thank our supporters, fans and other stakeholders for rallying round the team at this trying period.

“We also appreciate your concern which is a testimony that Kwara United FC is very dear to the people of Kwara,’’ he said in a statement by the club’s Media Officer, Abdulwaheed Bibire.

Kwara United is now rooted at the floor of the NPFL table on 19th position.

The team has played 17 league matches with a paltry four win, six draws and seven loses.
