Mr Usman Sabo, District Head of Gurupata community, Gwagwalada Area Council, has appealed to the council’s authorities to provide basic infrastructure that would improve the standard of living of the people.

Sabo made the appeal in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gwagwalada, on Thursday.

According to him, the community lacks primary healthcare facilities, potable water and good access road to convey farm produce to the market.

“I want to appeal to the council to provide this area with social amenities such as potable water and electricity, to improve on our standard of living.

“Our roads are not passable and we find it difficult to convey our farm produce to the market for sales.

“We have no light in this community and we travel far distance to Gwagwalada town to access healthcare,’’ he said.

The district head said that the provision of infrastructure would go a long way in improving the standard of living of the people and reduce poverty in the community.
