Following another attack by Fulani herdsmen on another church in Benue, killing seven villagers taking refuge in the church, Governor Samuel Ortom on Thursday declared that the enemies will not be allowed to steal their land.

The recent killing took place in Logo local government area (LGA) of the state.

In a tweet by the Benue State Government, the governor was quoted as saying: “The fact that we in Benue have chosen to be law-abiding does not mean that we are weak. I call on every Benue man and woman to remain resolute. The enemies cannot take our land away from us.”

Today’s killing is coming two days after two priests and 17 church members were killed in Gwer west local government area of the state.
