Thirty-two ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive in Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports in Lagos from May 9 to May 26, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Wednesday.

NPA said in its publication, “Shipping Position”, obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that nine of the 32 ships would sail in with petrol.

The remaining 23 ships contain bulk wheat, frozen fish, empty containers, bulk fertiliser, general cargo and containers laden with other goods.

Already, eight ships have arrived the ports waiting to berth with bulk fertiliser, sugar, frozen fish, aviation fuel and petrol.
