Lagos bags award of excellence in service to humanity

The Nigeria Association of Social Workers, NASOW, has awarded the Lagos State Government as the most outstanding State in Social welfare delivery services in Nigeria.

The award was presented during the sensitization walk, themed: “Promoting Community and Environmental Sustainability,” embarked upon by the association Lagos State Chapter in commemoration of the 2018 international Social Walk Day.

While receiving the award, Commissioner, Youth and Social Development, Mr. Agboola Dabiri, thanked the association and congratulated them on the successful celebration of the week.

The commissioner who was represented by the Director, Administration and Human Resources, Mrs Yewande Falugba, reiterated government’s commitment to the upliftment of the vulnerable members of the the society, while assuring the association of government’s unflinching support.

The celebration which started with a Press Conference was concluded with sensitization walk and merriment among social workers in the State.
