Musa-Nagogo, made the call on Friday when the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate in Wamba Local Government Area, Mr Abubakar Abbas, visited him in Wamba.

He charged politicians to unite irrespective of their party differences and play politics according to the rules in the interest of peace and national development.

According to him, politics devoid of bitterness and rancour would go a long way in promoting peace ahead of the state’s local government election and as the 2019 general elections also draw near.

“I want to use this medium to call on politicians to play politics devoid of blackmail and bitterness. You should not see politics as a do-or-die affair.

“Most of the violence in the society are caused by politics of bitterness and blackmail,” he said.
Musa-Nagogo congratulated Abba over his victory at the party primary election and wished him well in his political career.

He urged him to initiate policies and programmes that had direct bearing on the lives of the people of the area, if elected.

“What the electorate want from politicians are ideas of development and dividend of democracy in order to improve their standard of living,” he added.

The monarch advised the people in the state and Nigerians to live in peace with one another irrespective of ethnic, religious and political differences.

He urged his subjects to continue to support government’s good policies and programmes in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

Earlier, Abbas, the chairmanship candidate of the area, said that the visit was to seek royal blessing to enable him succeed in his ambition.

He promised not to fail the people of the area if elected.

Abbas assured the electorate in the area of his intention to key into good policies and programmes that had direct bearing on their lives.
