Mr Abdu Jinjiri, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the arrest of the suspect in Dutse on Thursday.
Jinjiri said police arrested the husband for his concealment of information about his missing wife before the discovery of her corpse 20 days later.
“On May 27, the Police in Birniwa Local Government area received a complaint from the relatives of one married woman, identified as Hadiza Adamu, aged 30.
“That the mother of four and resident of Kazura village, was nowhere to be found, for about 20 days.
“Eventually, her head cover was seen beside an unused old well, as such her decaying corpse was suspected to be in the well as strong odour was oozing out from the well.
“In this regard, the Police started an investigation into the matter. It was revealed that for those 20 days, her husband, one Adamu Tela of the same address, did not inform anybody, including security agents, about his missing wife.
