Nollywood actress Kehinde Bankole has posted a lengthy message on social media urging people to be concerned about others.
This comes after Comedian Ali Baba recently launched a search for a 5 year old boy Taju whose video went viral on social media after he was struggling to speak in English. The boy has since been found and support from different celebrities have not stopped pouring in to send the boy to school.
Kehinde wrote:
Your favourite groundnut seller is a child you can help, Your gateman’s son isn't going to school or treks about bare feet. Your former housemaid needs medical care. Many times i see lots of people saying well done guys! When someone discovers the next internet sensation to help, tagging people they feel are rich to solve problems but conveniently leaving themselves out. Ha me ke? Me kwa? Am poor. Before they say “help!” You will tag someone you feel should be able to do it, but not ever thinking your own little drop helps in a mighty ocean. Never think you are too poor to help around you right where you are. In whatever scale you can help, help. Don't always feel some people should help and not you. Remember, love your neighbour just as you love yourself and doing little little things as you can manage to do in the little you have will soon become a habit and as you get richer you will do more. You don't have transport fare but will you be shocked that some people have not eaten since yesterday?!. LOOK AROUND YOU, your 100 naira is not too little to make a difference in someones life.
