Courtinho’s strike

Switzerland held Brazil to a 1-1 draw in another upset at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia on Sunday.

Brazil opened scoring on 20 minutes from Philippe Coutinho’s long range strike that beat the Swiss’ goalkeeper.

It was a magical strike from Coutinho, who bent physics to curl the ball into the top corner from the left corner of the Swiss 18-yard box.

Brazil had attacked down the left. The ball fell to the former Liverpool man, who wrapped his right boot around it. It soared through the Rostov night, into the top-right corner.

Despite enjoying 55 percent ball possession, with 21 shots on goal and seven on target, plus seven corner kicks, Brazil could not breakdown a resilient Swiss defence.
