As a result of violent attacks, increased killings and the just ended petrol tanker accident which took place on Otedola bridge in Lagos, citizens have staged a peaceful protest, demanding justice from president Muhammadu Buhari.
A group called EiE Nigeria (Enough is Enough Nigeria) Coalition of young Nigerians promoting good governance and citizen engagement known as @eienigeria on social media shared pictures from the protest in Unity Fountain, Abuja today which was slated for 9am.
Celebrities like Deyemi Okanlawon, ifu Ennada, Niyi Akinmolayan and a host of others were part of this movement, to say that anyone could have been a victim and therefore actions should be taken. They supported this by tagging the president and other concerned individuals, making very graphic videos and pictures of themselves lying on the Nigerian flag, smearing it with blood as they were being attacked.
