The Russian Party to the Russian-Turkish Commission on the Syrian ceasefire has recorded eight ceasefire violations over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Thursday.

Meanwhile Turkey has not registered any truce breaches.

“The situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable. The Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered eight cases of firing in the provinces of Latakia (5), Aleppo (2) and Hama (1).

“The Turkish side has registered no cases of ceasefire violation,’’ the ministry said in its daily bulletin.

The Russian Centre for Syrian reconciliation carried out one humanitarian mission in the province of As Suwayda, delivering 4.3 tonnes of goods.

Moreover, medics have provided assistance to 18 people over the past 24 hours.

The Defence Ministry noted that no settlements joined the ceasefire regime over the past 24 hours.

Russia, alongside Iran and Turkey, is a guarantor of the ceasefire regime in Syria.

Moscow has also been assisting Damascus both through supporting the struggle against terrorist groups and providing humanitarian aid to the residents of the crisis-torn country.
