Nine months after the dissolution of its standing committees, Lagos State House of Assembly has reconstituted such committees.
The House dissolved all standing committees on Oct. 16, 2017 and mandated former Chairmen of the committees to work in acting capacity pending the reconstitution of the new ones.
The Speaker of the House, Mr Mudashiru Obasa, on Tuesday announced the reconstitution at the plenary.
Obasa said that he would head the Selection Committee while the Chief Whip of the House, Mr Rotimi Abiru, would Chair the Business Rules and Ethics Committee.
Other committee chairmen are: Rasheed Makinde (Agriculture); Olusola Sokunle (Health Services); Fatai Oluwa (House Services); Rotimi Olowo (Local Government and Community Affairs) and Dayo Saka-Fafunmi (Environment).
Others are: Abiodun Tobun (Works and Infrastructure); Mr Bisi Yusuff (Public Accounts, Local); Moshood Oshun (Public Accounts, State), Gbolahan Yishawu (Budget and Economic Planning and Adefunmilayo Tejuosho (Information and Strategy).
Also are: Tunde Braimoh (Judiciary, Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, Human Rights and Petition); and Dayo Famakinwa (Water Front Infrastructure) and Victor Akande (Science and Technology).
Mojisola Miranda, (Establishment and Training); Mosunmola Sangodara (Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation); Jude Idimogu (Commerce and Industry) and Oladele Adekanye (Central Business District).
The rest are: Lanre Ogunyemi ( Education); Raheem Kazeem (Wealth Creation); Noheem Adams (Arts, Tourism and Culture) and Ibrahim Layode (Housing).
Meanwhile, the Assembly has adjourned to Sept. 17 to enable members to go on their annual recess.
Obasa also said that the House would host the Conference of South West Speakers and Conference of Speakers of Nigeria in the first week of August.
