The Nigeria Airforce is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack on a hotel, New Titan Suite and Bar located at No. 23 Goloba Asogbon Street, Off Ebenezer Bus Stop, Ejigbo, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria on 4 July, 2018.

The attack followed the maltreatment of an airforce officer identified only as Benjamin who is a patron of prostitutes at the hotel.

Mr. Oyeniran Abiodun, manager of the hotel, disclosed that Benjamin has a favourite among the prostitutes named Blessing in the hotel.

”The airforce officer was fond of locking Blessing inside her room anytime he came and found her with another patron. Other patrons will beg him before he will open the door. But on this fateful day, the hotel staff and others forced the door open after the airforce officer refused to open it.

”Benjamin left and returned later around 10.30pm with a bus load of airforce men. Some were brandishing machetes while others came with woods. On seeing them I ran.

“When I came back after they have left, I was told that Benjamin brought the airforce men to attack us. Our barman David Sidney was flogged and injured. One of his toes was sliced with a jack knife.

“On getting to my room, I discovered that the door has been broken and the N402,000 I kept inside was no more there,” Abiodun narrated.

PMNEWS gathered that the matter was reported at the Ejigbo Police Station and at the Airforce Base, Ikeja.

Investigations revealed further that Benjamin was later arrested by the authorities at his home when he refused to report to the investigating officer, Sergeant Mohammed.
