The National Institute for Sports (NIS) on Saturday aborted the inauguration of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s House-to-House Campaign Organization in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.

PMNEWS gathered that the Atiku House-to-House Campaign Organization paid for the use of SWAN hall at the National Stadium, Surulere, for the inauguration but the organisation was prevented from holding the inauguration there by the manager of SWAN hall, Mr. Wadioke Betran.

The over 10,000 youths who gathered at the venue for the inauguration were disappointed at the action of the hall manager who promised to refund the money paid by the organisers.

The National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Adedipe Dauda Ewenla who mobilized the youths to the venue said he was disappointed with the action of the manager.

Also, the National Coordinator of the Atiku House-to-House Campaign Organization, Col. Chinyere Obi retd. condemned the action of the institute and demanded an unreserved apology from the agency or face a legal action.

Betran was later forced to issue a cheque for the amount collected from the organisers by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Emmanuel Nwihim who led the police to the venue.

Speaking with PMNEWS later, Ewenla said he decamped from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) three months ago because he discovered that APC has no plan for the youths of this country.

He said within three months he was able to mobilize 10,000 youths across the Southwest and promised to double the number in another two months.

“I decamped from the APC three months ago because APC does not have a plan for Nigerian youths and within three months I have been able to mobilize over 10,000 youths and I have them at this venue of the inauguration of women leaders and coordinators,” Prince Ewenla stated.
