Another 310 Lagos pilgrims will be airlifted back to Nigeria from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia on board Medview Airline Airbus 777 after completing their hajj rites tonight.

This was disclosed on Wednesday by the Executive Secretary of Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr Abdul Rahaman Ishola while briefing news men on the latest of the 2018 Hajj exercise.

Ishola explained that the 310 pilgrims across four Local Governments namely – Alimosho, Apapa, Amuwo Odofin Ojo/Badagry will be transported to King Abdul Azeez International Airport Jedda for airlift back home this evening.

He advised pilgrims not to neglect the 32Kg and 8Kg for big and small bag given by the Air carrier, Medview Airline and National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) as approved for all pilgrims’ luggage from Nigeria.

Ishola cautioned the pilgrims from engaging in excessive buying of goods as the stakeholders will seize any extra good in excess of the approved Kilograms for the small and big bags.

The Agency’s boss thanked the Akinwunmi Ambode led government for showing interest in hajj operation in Lagos State and for providing the necessary logistics to make the operations a smooth and successful one.

He reiterated the commitment of the Agency to ensure that Lagos pilgrims arrive home safely and in time.

He assured Lagosians that arrangement is in top gear for the third and fourth flights as the Medview will go on four days break to airlift pilgrims from other states before resuming Airlifting of Lagos pilgrims again.
