The sovereign’s budget in February made provision for nine billon dollars to be raised over the next three years via the international capital markets.
South Africa printed two billion dollars through a dual-tranche bond offering in mid-May, comprised of June 2030s and June 2048s.
The 1.4 billion dollars of 5.875% June 2030s are bid at 97.09 to yield 6.224 per cent, according to Tradeweb prices.
The 600 million dollars 6.30 per cent 2048s are trading at 93.95 to yield 6.774 per cent.
