95 people for maiden social media awards

Raveit Entertainment has nominated 95 individuals for 20 different categories in its maiden social media awards slated for Nov. 17 at Oriental Hotel.

Mr Emmanuel Agbaeze, who spoke for the organization in Lagos that the awards would be to encourage Nigerians who created exceptional contents on the social media.

He said that this was the first time in the history of Nigeria that the organisers would be organizing the awards.

He said that it would be to recognise and encourage people who had created exceptional contents on the social media on daily basis.

“There has been praises and recognition for actors, singers, and dancers through various awards and platforms.

“However, the talented and diverse bunch of social media evangelists are yet to have their dues.

“No fewer than 95 individuals have been nominated in 20 different categories which include: the Most Talented Male, the Most Talented Female, and the Corporate Social Philanthropist.

“We intend to reward people for their hard work and creativity and this will be sustained for several years to come,” he said.

“We aim to recognise the spirit of learning, sharing and entertainment that our nominees have beautifully displayed in their endeavours.

“We believe the event will generate more buzz in the social media space and encourage more talented and passionate artists to showcase their talents,” he said.

Agbaeze urged youths in the country to explore the internet and use it as a tool for gaining recognition and wealth.
