Alhaji Danjuma Goje, the Senator representing Gombe Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for improving the security situation in the country, particularly in the North east.
Goje, who was speaking with newsmen on Friday in Gombe, said he was in the state to perform his duty as a loyal party member and to show his support for President Buhari.
“I am happy that President Buhari has addressed the security challenges that had rendered Gombe and the entire North east prostrate. We will consider this in voting for him in 2019.
“The security of the entire North east, which has greatly improved since this present administration came into office, is the best selling point of the President. We in Gombe will show our gratitude by voting him for second term.
“I am in Gombe State to show my support and solidarity for President Buhari and we expect a very high turnout in view of his popularity across the country,” he said.
Goje also called on all Nigerians, particularly members of All Progressives Congress (APC), to continue supporting President Buhari and return him to office in 2019.
The former Gombe governor also appealed to all APC members in Gombe to vote for a governorship candidate that would rescue the state from what he called the failures of present state government.
