The Osun House of Assembly workers have lauded the weekly environmental sanitation being carried out at the House, urging other ministries and departments to emulate the idea for its health benefits.

A cross section of the workers, who spoke with newsmen after the completion of the weekly sanitation on Thursday, said the exercise had contributed to a healthier and more serene environment.

Mr Tunde Bello, the Director of Demand and Supply, Osun House of Assembly, said the sanitation had provided cleaner and healthier environment for workers.

Bello advised the staff not to relent in the weekly sanitation, adding that they should replicate such in their individual homes for a better society.

Mr Timothy Adedire, another worker at the Assembly, said the weekly sanitation was encouraging and could reduce the risk of diseases and unnecessary wastage of money on treatment.
