The Yobe state government has approved the execution of N402.3m capital projects in Yusufari local government.

The Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Ballama Budu, disclosed this to newsmen on Friday in Yusufari.

“Early this year, approval was granted to us for the execution of numerous projects in the local government to the total contract sum of N402.3m.

“The projects comprise dispensary staff quarters, 10 solar boreholes, 36 hand pumps, 4 cement wells, 50 solar lights, 160 work bulls and 80 ploughs.

“Other projects include wall fencing of two primary schools, construction of new government lodge as well as the emirate guest house among other life touching projects,” he said.

The chairman commended newsmen for their continuous support to the state and local government councils, adding that the relationship had been beneficial to the people.

He urged them to keep the ball rolling by enlightening and educating the teeming populace on the need to support government policies and programmes for the betterment of the state.
