Nigerian singer, Banky W has joined the campaign to raise awareness against gender-based violence.
Banky W took to Instagram to pledge his support for the campaign calling on others to also join and support the cause. He highlighted the danger of gender-based violence.
“In Nigeria, one in four girls have experienced sexual violence. One in two girls have experienced physical violence, and one in six have experienced emotional violence. Girls account for two-thirds of the 10.5 million out-of-school children in Nigeria”.
His Instagram post reads:

We have to do better. We have to BE better.
Nov 25th marks the beginning of the International “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” Campaign. We are all pledging our support to join this campaign, and using our voices to raise awareness about this very important cause. You should too. Don’t do it because we said so. Do it for your mother, sister or daughter.
