Mr Godiya Akwashiki, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Nasarawa North Senatorial district, has promised to initiate different skills acquisition programmes in order to create jobs for his constituents, if elected on Feb. 16.

Akwashiki, who is also the Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, made the promise on Saturday while addressing APC supporters at Alushi/Ginda and Wakama electoral wards of Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.

Akwashiki, who represent Nassarawa Eggon West constituency at the state legislature, said that initiating different skills acquisition programmes would help in tackling unemployment as well as make youths and women to be self reliant.

According to him, “send me to the National Assembly and see what I am going to do for you. I am having good blue prints for the zone if elected”.

“I will embark on massive infrastructural development as well as initiate different skills acquisition programmes in order to better the standard of living of people in this senatorial district.

“If elected, I will influence the provision of electricity, water supply and road construction, among others, in the interest of development,” he said.

Akwashiki said that he would also give adequate attention to the education sector by development of schools and the welfare of students.

He urged the electorate to vote for him, President Buhari and other APC candidates during the 2019 elections in order to continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

“Some of you knows me and are aware of my achievements while some of you are seeing me for the first time, please vote for me and see what I am going to do for you and the entire zone if elected.
