Buhari’s re-election will further strengthen integrity of Nigeria – Shaibu

Edo Deputy Governor, Mr Philip Shaibu, on Wednesday said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election would further strengthen the integrity of the country in international circles.

Shaibu stated this in a congratulatory message to President Muhammadu Buhari, who was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Saturday’s Presidential election.

Buhari was declared the winner by INEC, defeating his closest rival Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said that the president won his re-election bid due to his integrity which was known worldwide and which no one could fault.

He said: “Nigeria is coming back to be a nation of integrity where our leaders can look at other leaders eyeball to eyeball and say I am not corrupt.

“People can now see us as men of integrity when we travel out of the country because we have a leader that is globally known as a man of integrity.

“This country is going to move forward economically with the assurance of needed infrastructure completion of ongoing projects.’’
