Stakeholders in Ogun State have condemned the call for the deployment of military personnel ahead the governorship and House of Assembly elections scheduled to hold, March 9, 2019.

The stakeholders, which consist of the Committee for the Defence of Human Right (CDHR), Human Right and Grassroots Development Society (HRGDS) and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), said such action would cause voters apathy as well as discourage electorates from exercising their franchise.

Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders at a Press conference in Abeokuta, the Secretary – General of CDHR, Comrade Olayinka Folarin described the call as barbaric and unnecessary, urging for the sustainance of the current security in the State.
