Breaking: ADP Senatorial candidate, Sugar shot dead in Oyo

A prominent politician and member of the House of Representatives, representing Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Hon Temitope Olatoye Sugar has been shot dead.

Sugar, who was the Action Democratic Party, ADP, Oyo Central Senatorial candidate, was shot in the eye on Saturday and was rushed to the University College Hospital, Ibadan.

Despite the prompt attention he received at the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Hospital, he eventually died.

Meanwhile, tension is already mounting in Ibadan, as his loyalists and some thugs are already starting to foment trouble.

Sugar contested the senatorial seat of Oyo Central Senatorial District two weeks ago but lost to Teslim Folarin of the APC.
