Aisha Buhari clocks 49 today.

Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha Buhari, has become the toast of Nigerians as she clocks 49 today.

Although, Aisha Buhari is yet to release any statement, the likes of Lauretta Onochie, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and Actress Funke Adesiyan have taken to social media to celebrate the cosmetologist, beauty therapist, and author.

“May Today Bring With It, All The Joys Of Life & Grace To Deal With Difficult Times.

“Have A Wonderful Day Of Celebrations, Surrounded By Those Tho Love You The Most,” Presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie wrote on Twitter.

“Happy birthday to our beautiful and wonderful First lady to our dear country Dr Aisha Buhari! You are a great role model for millions of young girls in this country and throughout the whole Africa! May Almighty bless you,” a loyalist to President Buhari wrote.

Nollywood actress Funke Adesiyan, who is a political aide to Aisha Buhari wrote: “Today and everyday I celebrate an Amazon, my Mum, the First Lady and mother of the Nation on your birthday.

“Your virtues, noble deeds and solace to the downtrodden couple, your zeal and determination for the right of women, children and the vulnerable in our society stands you out mummy.

“You are a woman who walks the talk and you cheer diligence when you see one.

Aisha was born on 17, February 1971 in Adamawa State, Northeastern Nigeria.

Her grandfather Alhaji Muhammadu Ribadu was Nigeria’s first minister of defence. Aisha’s father was a civil engineer, and her mother is a descendant of the Ankali family, renowned farmers.

Aisha Buhari went to primary and secondary school in Adamawa State.

She holds a bachelor of arts degree in public administration from Ambrose Alli University (AAU), and a master’s degree in international affairs and strategic studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.

Aisha obtained a diploma in beauty therapy from the Carlton Institute of Beauty Therapy, Windsor, United Kingdom and a post-graduate diploma in cosmetology and beauty from Academy Esthetique Beauty Institute of France.

Aisha is a member of the United Kingdom Vocational Training and Charitable Trust and the International Health and Beauty Council.

On 2 December 1989, Aisha married Muhammadu Buhari, who had five children from a previous marriage to Safinatu Yusuf. Aisha and Muhammadu Buhari have five children together and one grandchild.
