In the wake of economic and infrastructural challenges, some industry pioneers have come up with innovative solutions and projects, which have revolutionized industries, among them is Taiwo Babatunde Alli, who we nominate as entrepreneur of the year.
Taiwo babatunde alli is considered one of the most influential people in Africa’s real estate industry. He founded Clifton Homes, which has become a household name in Africa’s luxury real estate market, with operations all over the world, including Europe, Asia, and other continents.
He is also a leading figure in Nigeria’s real estate industry, and taiwo babatunde alli has made a great impact on Nigeria’s development, including various states such as Lagos, Abuja, Ogun, Oyo, and Kwara, among others. His contributions to Nigeria’s real estate industry have been recognized through various awards, including the Real Estate Personality of the Year and Most Influential Real Estate Developer Award.
In 2015, Taiwo through his foundations provided education to over 200 pupils, most of whom are children orphaned or made refugees by the Boko Haram insurgency in the state of borno.
He has also provided food and medical assistance in Benue, donated property in Abuja to support humanitarian activities, and organized mass weddings for orphans and less privileged people, paying the dowries and other costs associated with the ceremonies.
In 2017, He founded Alli foundations, an international humanitarian organization with the main goal of providing humanitarian assistance, medical missions, hunger eradication, education, empowerment, and refugee programs to underprivileged people in Africa.
All the humanitarian aid provided by Alli foundations is free to the recipients. Alli’s foundations initiative has been instrumental in rehabilitating men, women, and children who are victims of the Boko Haram terrorist organization in Nigeria. At the IDP camps, the children are provided with education, and the adults are provided with self-employment programs. Taiwo, through his leadership of Alli foundations, has been able to access the IDP camps in the remote areas of the North-East, where Boko Haram has attacked, and assists the victims of the insurgency.
During one of the foundation’s missions, He discovered the extremely malnourished children rescued from Boko Haram’s captivity and facilitated the collaboration between Alli foundations and the Borno State Government in evacuating them to Abuja for urgent CMAM treatment. 1,500 children were evacuated from the affected communities, together with their families.
Alli’s philanthropic activities are also both structured and personal In his capacity as a mentor, benefactor, and organization, Alli has contributed to human capital development in Nigeria and in the diaspora.
