Media entrepreneur and author, Tosin Ajibade popularly known as Olorisupergal has launched a YouTube channel called ‘Healthy Living with Tosin’ to cater for people who are in the process of changing their diet and do not know how to start.

Ajibade who launched the channel on Monday, to celebrate her birthday, said the Vlog promises to be exciting, engaging and educative and will see her talk about her healthy lifestyle, her opinion on certain diets.

She will also encourage and act as an accountability partner to subscribers wherever they are on their diet Journey.

The Vlog will also feature guests who will share their fitness journey and personal tips.

According to Ajibade, the show will provide subscribers with access and easy to understand information that will make them conscious of their health.

“I decided to start Healthy Living with Tosin, to share my journey with all of you. I believe that if people had more information, access and easy to understand information, especially as Nigerians, we will make better conscious choices with our health,” she wrote on her Instagram page on Monday.

She further encouraged the public to join her on this journey, “let’s build this community together, let’s have these conversations and most importantly, let’s change our lives.” Tosin stated.

In 2006, Tosin was diagnosed with Ovarian Cyst but that did not make her take her health seriously as she thought she could just ignore the symptoms despite the discomfort she was experiencing. She was later diagnosed with PCOS and Hormonal Imbalance; a diagnosis that changed her life forever and brought her to the realization of how much she needed to make drastic changes to her lifestyle if she wanted to live healthily.

“In 2006 I had severe pain, it hurt bad and during a visit to the doctor’s office, I was told I had ovarian cyst. Ovarian ki-ni? I just said God forbid and never went back.

“I gradually went from size 6 to size 14. And as you can imagine, that quick graduation in dress sizes was not a good feeling. I was tired of people asking me if I was pregnant and I stopped being comfortable with myself. I was later diagnosed of PCOS, hormonal imbalance, ovarian cyst was still there waiting for me! It did not stop there, I was also informed I was lactose intolerant. And I LOVE MILK! Please who did I offend?

“I felt that if I simply ignored these signs and growing discomfort then I would not need to deal with anything. Ignorance is bliss no be so? But it began to dawn on me that if I really wanted to see the changes I wanted I had to do something drastic but I had no one to discuss these things with. I guess facing the truth and mentally deciding to take responsibility, God saw my concern and soon I had an encounter that pushed me in the right direction.

“So in 2019, during a meeting at Her Network event, I met Oshuware Leon of Bon Delice, and I discussed some of my challenges with her and she helped me through the process which resulted to making some lifestyle changes recommended by the doctor by going plant-based.

“So far I have dropped one dress size, I feel healthier and more energized and I am still in the beginning of my journey. It is so amazing to see how different my lifestyle is now and the endless benefits it has to my health.
And that’s why I decided to start Healthy Living with Tosin, to share my journey with all of you. I believe that if people had more information, access and easy to understand information, especially as a Nigerian, African we will make better, conscious choices with our health,” she narrated.

“I will be sharing the most amazing content, partnering with others as well to bring you content, every week on my Youtube Channel – #HealthyLivingwithTosin,” she added.

The first episode of ‘Healthy Living with Tosin’ will be live on Youtube on Monday, February 24, 2020, and new episodes will drop every week subsequently.
