Chief Donatus Ejidike has joined other Nigerians to mourn the demise of two great promising sports stars: Kano Pillars FC Team Manager, Kabir Baleria, and Remo Stars FC player, Tiyamiyu Kazeem, describing their deaths as big blows to the sporting world.
Ejidike in a statement on Friday in Ilorin said that the increasing record of deaths among the sports family was devastating and heart breaking.
The sports philanthropist, who decried the circumstances of deaths of these promising stars, said there was urgent need to purge the system of trauma.
“We are sober, we are really sad about their sudden departure, May the Creator grant them eternal rest.
“We join other distinguished Nigerians in mourning over the void caused by our good sportsmen, they left us suddenly, we loved them dearly and my words to everyone is that let’s continue to pray for their families and sports family as we express our condolences,” Ejidike said.
He however called on the football ruling authority to do the needful to uphold justice and rally the families for comfort.
