The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has expressed its determination to collaborate with the State University, Keffi, in order to improve the standard of the institution.

Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House, stated this on Monday while playing host to the management of the university led by its Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Suleiman Mohammed.

Abdullahi, who spoke through the Deputy Speaker, Mr Nehemiah Dandaura, said the assembly was determined to support the institution to meet with global best practices.

The speaker said that the importance of education to societal development could not be overemphasised, hence the need for the assembly’s commitment in that direction.

“We will do everything humanly possible to improve on the standard of education in the institution and the state at large.

“We will support the institution to make it meet up with international best practices in the interest of development,’’ he said.

Abdullahi commended the vice chancellor for being up and doing in improving on the standard of education in the institution and called for its sustenance.
