Gov. Ned Lamont of Connecticut

Another U.S. State, Connecticut is shutting down temporarily from Monday, in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Illinois, New York and California have already put their states on lockdown.

Gov. Ned Lamont has signed an executive order that calls on non-essential businesses across the state, including many retail stores, to shut down, not later than 8p.m on Monday.

The order requires all “non-essential” businesses, to the extent possible, to reduce their in-person workforces by 100%.

The Democrat also wants them to require employees to work from home. Retailers not considered essential could face fines, Lamont said.

Lamont on Friday said a 4th person died from COVID-19, and 35 more people tested positive, bringing the total to 194.

He also reported testing is up to 1,000 specimens a day. There are now 16 drive-through testing sites in the state.–Eyewitness News via MSN
