An association of Nigerian Permanent Secretaries has donated some essential toiletries to assist the Federal Government’s fight against coronavirus.

Dr. Folasade Yemi–Esan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), said members of the association contributed a chunk of their salaries to buy the items.

The items bought were 100 cartons each of of bar soaps, Dettol antiseptic soaps, Dettol disinfectant liquid and Sunlight washing powder, along with 80cartons of Ariel detergent.

Yemi-Esan handed them to Mr. Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, who is also the Chairman, Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

Mustapha expressed gratitude for the gesture and the thoughtfulness of the donors..

He noted that personal hygiene and cleanliness could go a long way in fighting the virus.

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq, who collected the items promised that they would be distributed to the targeted beneficiaries.
