President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday sent a message of sympathy and goodwill to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Buhari wished the 55 year-old leader a quick recovery and restoration to full health.
Johnson was moved into the Intensive Care Unit of St Thomas’ Hospital in London on Monday night.
It was a day after he was admitted to the hospital for some tests on his coronavirus illness.
His health took a turn for the worse thereafter, requiring oxygen to breath.
Johnson announced 11 days ago that he had tested positive for the virus and went into isolation immediately.
His pregnant fiancee also Carrie Symonds also had the virus but in a post recently, she appeared to have overcome the virus.
President Buhari expressed sympathy with the British leader as he battles COVID-19 personally.
Buhari also sympathised with the British people as their country battles the devastating effects of the pandemic.
Buhari prayed that Johnson will soon be well enough to resume his great leadership of his country, at this most trying time in global history.
