Residents of Egbeda, Iyana Ipaja, Ogba and Agege areas of Lagos have lamented the robbery attacks by some hoodlums during the lockdown.
Similar complaints have been made by residents of densely populated Akute, which falls in Ogun
Series of videos and photos have surfaced online showing the violence in Agege area .
The videos show large number of boys coming out to rob innocent citizens at night and in broad day.
Many suspects have been arrested.
The Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Kenneth Ebrimson has denied the reports.
He said his command was not aware of robberies in the state.
What happened were cult clashes among seven rival groups, he said.
Since the 2 weeks lockdown was announced in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja, relief items have been dispatched to some citizens while others are yet to get them.
The items are barely enough to feed a family.

There's no justification whatsoever for robbery
Which one is "the government did not give them relieve funds "
The people they're robbing, did the government give them relieve funds?
Or you just want to be unfortunate? #AgegeUnrest

Our government is not helping, the people are not helping too. See people taking advantage of the lockdown to rob their fellow Nigerians.
Our problem in Nigeria is beyond the government, there is moral decadence and the people have lost their conscience.
God Dey!

This unrest was predictable. When you cut off people's source of income, the people will be restless. The least the government should have done would have been to beef up security in anticipation. More police vans should have been purchased.#AgegeUnrest Akute Iyana Ipaja Egbeda

The only reason why there is Robbery going on in Nigeria now is because Nigerians are hungry. What do you expect people to eat for the next 2 weeks? How do you go on live tv to lie about sharing 100 billion naira to Nigerians? So sad#Covid_19#AgegeUnrest#lagos
