As part of efforts to bring relief to the vulnerable and the less privileged in the society, Elektron Energy has donated a consignment of nonperishable food items to the Ogun State Government Food Bank.

While appreciating the exemplary work that the Ogun State Government is doing to tame the raging coronavirus pandemic, the Principal/CFO of Elektron, Mr Deen Solebo who presented the items on behalf of the Company also commended His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun for the various efforts to bring succour to the good people of Ogun State.

He said the company recognizes the effort of Government to galvanize and encourage the frontline medical staff in the fight against the virus.

Solebo while praying the government efforts at bringing relief to the people succeed, added that he hoped the support and donations of the non-perishable food items to the Food Bank will go a long way in bringing appreciable relief to the suffering and hardship being faced by the most vulnerable members of the society.

While acknowledging the receipt of a consignment of the non-perishable food items to the Food Bank, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy, Mr. Lolu Adubifa described Electron and others who had donated to the State as responsible corporate citizens whose gesture at this moment is vital in the fight against COVID 19″.

He added that the donated items will be added to the Food Bank to compliment the welfare package by Governor Dapo Abiodun to serve as relief the vulnerable and the poor in the society

The Special Adviser appreciated Electron for the warm donations and reiterated that the State Government will intensify efforts to ensure that the vulnerable and the less privileged are given necessary support during the restrictions of movement.
