Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, Kano Deputy Governor, has tested negative for COVID-19.
This was confirmed in a statement released by Gawuna’s Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Fagge.
Gawuna, however, commended residents for complying with the lockdown order.
He urged the public to maintain social distancing, washing and sanitizing of hands regularly and to comply with all other advice given by medical experts.
Kano deputy governor Nasiru Gawuna, two commissioners and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s daughter went into isolation after a co-member on the State Task Force on COVID-19 they work with got infected the virus.
