Second WHO staff tests positive for coronavirus in Bauchi

Another World Health Organisation, WHO staff has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Bauchi.

He was the second staff of the UN agency to test positive in the state.

The Chairman, Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Rilwanu Mohammed, announced this on Tuesday.

He said the new case contracted the virus through his colleague. \

He was detected after contact tracing of the first WHO case. Both officials had the history of travelling to Kano.

Bauchi now has eight confirmed cases of the virus.

Five of them, including Governor Bala Mohammed, have been discharged.
