The Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu, has donated N100 million to the Kwara COVID-19 pandemic fund.

A statement issued on Thursday in Ilorin by Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRasak of Kwara, said the donation had increased the fund received by the state to N230 million.

According to Ajakaye, Rabiu had earlier donated N1bn through the private sector-led Coalition Against Coronavirus (CACOVID-19) to some states including Kwara.

“The government is particularly grateful to Alhaji Abdulsamad and all others like him for the generous donations which have helped in no small measure to combat the fight against the pandemic,” the statement read.
