Edo discharges another COVID-19 patient

Edo state government has discharged another COVID-19 patient who tested negative twice to the virus.

Governor Godwin Obaseki announced in a tweet on Thursday.

His statement confirmed that 9 COVID-19 patients have been managed and discharged in Edo.

“We have just discharged the 9th #COVIDー19 patient in #EdoState. The patient has tested negative twice for #coronavirus.

“I thank the health workers in the front lines of this fight for their efforts.

“We shall defeat this enemy, but we need your support & urge you to stay safe,” Obaseki wrote on Twitter.

However, Edo has recorded 37 COVID-19 cases as of the 29th of April, 2020.

This makes Edo the 9th most stricken state by the coronavirus in Nigeria.
