Member of Zamfara assembly, Alhaji Tukur dies

A member of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Tukur Jekada has died.

The lawmaker representing Bakura Constituency died shortly after a brief illness on Sunday.

Mr Shamsudeen Hassan, the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, confirmed his death to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gusau.

Before his death, Jakada was the Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
