Collaboration to Strengthen Health Systems and Stop Violence Against Women

Nimot Adetola

In a joint effort to create sustainable global health systems and tackle the universal issue of violence against women, Love for Health Organization continues to embark on strategic partnerships to make a significant difference.

Established in 2008 in the United States by Nigerian doctor Dr. Yusuf Haroun, the organization has been at the forefront of advocating for women’s health, rights, and protection among local and international communities.

With collective efforts with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community-based organizations, Love for Health works hard to expand access to quality healthcare for vulnerable groups, especially women. By providing free health care services, the organization offers basic medical care to vulnerable women, thus improving health outcomes and empowering them to live healthier lives.

One of the key concerns in these partnerships is campaigning against violence against women. Love for Health offers counseling, treatment, and legal assistance to survivors of gender-based violence, and works to offer safe spaces where women can access services, seek help, and receive access to basic health programs. These are accompanied by awareness campaigns on women’s rights and reproductive health, focusing on respect, safety, and equality.

Furthermore, Love for Health actively contributes to improving health systems by promoting policies that protect women and promote integral care. All its efforts complement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially those relating to gender equality, health, and well-being, as evidence of devotion to sustainable development and human rights.

With cooperation from various stakeholders across the world, Love for Health Organization is progressing significantly to end violence against women and create robust health systems. Its work is the power of collective action toward creating a healthier and safer world where women are protected, valued, and empowered to live to their fullest.
