Mesut Ozil made his final visit to the Emirates Stadium as an Arsenal player on Sunday before heading to Istanbul.

According to reports, the midfielder bid farewell to his Gunners teammates at London Colney and was allowed to travel to Turkey for a medical with Fenerbahce.

But before heading to Istanbul, Ozil conducted an interview with the Turkish media outside the Emirates Stadium where he had a message for the Fenerbahce supporters.

“I am coming tonight with my family to Istanbul,” Ozil said. “Thank God who gave me the opportunity to represent this club.

“I will wear the shirt with pride.”

Ozil signed for Arsenal from Real Madrid in a big-money move in 2013.
