There are CEO’s who have shown exemplary leadership and have successfully positioned their companies as a leader in the Nigeria Real Estate industry whilst continuing to prove that Nigeria indeed possesses abundant human resources that can make her stand tall across the world.
In this article, we look at Andrew Lucky Elerewe who is ranked amongst top 5 real estate developers making wave with their brands and firms while contributing to Nigeria’ GDP through their return-to-market activities (by several projects) in 2021.
Andrew Lucky Elerewe is the Vice President of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, (REDAN). He Started as a rental agent, Andrew Lucky Elerewe gradually became a significant player in the sale of houses before becoming an astute estate developer.
He has received numerous awards from different organizations for his outstanding leadership and contribution to society. Some of these awards include the Honorary Doctorate Award by London Graduate School, Recognition of Excellence in Construction by Nigerian Society of Engineers, N.S.E. etc.
Mr. Andrew Lucky Elerewe is the Chairman/CEO of AIBEN Investment & Properties Ltd, a company he started in 2011. That was after a few years he worked at woods and Bricks Ltd as the managing director.
His involvement in the real estate sector in which he has continued to soar like an eagle could be said to have come by happenstance. After graduating from the university, he secured a job.
In five years after establishing his company, he had become one of the biggest property owners in Nigeria with real estate transactions in excess of N20 billion net asset worth and business offices in located in over 15 states in Nigeria and some part of other countries.
Elerewe market focus is in luxury real estate development covering the pre- and post- phases of construction. He has expanded operations into facility management, providing services to high class real estate investors interested in iconic structures.
His company’s scope covers residential serviced apartments, offices, hotels, interior decoration and designs, landscaping, civil engineering consultancy, facility management, integrated construction solutions and related services.
His objective is supported by his innovative practices, passion for the work, attention to details and an international network. Looking back, Elerewe considers his accomplishments as a dividend of hard work and more so the lessons he learnt from exposure to leaders of different multinational companies, involving a number of transactions across Europe and the Middle East.
Andrew Lucky Elerewe studied Management and Accounting in Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and has international real estate experience in the Europe, Dubai and the United States.
He is a typical example of a successful entrepreneur who has broken free from Nigeria’s difficult economic situation to emerge an achiever in society. His winning formula is entrepreneurship drive blended with a Management background and a wealth of experience as a venture capitalist and investment strategist.
His contributions to housing delivery in Nigeria have not gone unnoticed. The recognitions and awards that have come his way are a testimony to the saying that honour should be given to whom it is due.
The real estate icon has received several awards and recognitions in the course of his service to Nigeria’s prime sector. The one that stands out is “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” conferred on him in his individual capacity by the Nigerian Union of Journalists, N.U.J and Leads Africa Merit Award of Excellence by The League of African Development Students (LEADS AFRICA). His company, AIBEN group, was honoured in its corporate capacity for “excellence in smart cities development in the country.”
He is currently the Vice President, (North Central, National) Real Estate Developers Association of
Nigeria,(REDAN), Former Chairman, FCT, Chapter, Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria,(REDAN), Fellow, Chartered Institute of Project Managers.
