Orji Kalu sends message to Gov. Ayade

Orji Uzor Kalu, former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North, has welcomed Governor Ben Ayade to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Kalu, in a message released on Friday morning, described Ayade’s decision to dump PDP as a bold and courageous step.

According to Kalu, the people of Cross-River now have the opportunity to connect with the center.

He said:
“I commend the decision of Governor Ben Ayade of Cross-Rivers state to join the APC from the PDP, it is no doubt a laudable development. With the support of the federal government, the Governor has over the years, sustained his good works across Cross- Rivers state.

“The APC is a party of progressive-minded politicians with passion for sustainable development. The Governor has taken a bold and courageous step in a bid to strengthen his good deeds in Cross-Rivers state. It is a good opportunity for the people of Cross-Rivers state to connect with the centre. I join the national leadership of the APC in welcoming Ayade into the fold of our great party”
