Biafra Nations League (BNL) has called out former presidential aspirant and APC chieftain, Adamu Garba and other Nigerians rejoicing over the death of the Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau.

BNL while mocking Adamu Garba and other Nigerians rejoicing over Shekau’s death said they should hide their faces in shame because the terrorist leader is not dead.

Garba had while reacting to Shekau’s demise said the death is a lesson to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho.

Shekau was reportedly killed after a clash between his men and fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

He was reported to have blown himself up to avoid being captured alive.

However, BNL noted that this is about the sixth time Shekau had been reported killed.

National Leader of BNL, Princewill Chimezie Richard, in a statement issued on Friday, while reacting to a comment made by Adamu, mocked the APC chieftain and other government officials who are rejoicing over the news.

BNL said that Shekau seems to have many lives and resurrects whenever he dies, adding that if Shekau actually died, there was no need for the government to rejoice because the military failed to kill or capture him.

“There is no lesson to learn from the alleged death of Shekau,… Boko Haram is a small group in Borno, whereas Biafra is a nation.”

“If any prominent Biafran is harmed it would lead to regional unrest which may eventually turn to another civil war,” BNL said.
