He commended party members for exhibiting maturity and patience during the exercise in the 484 wards of the state.

Ganduje said the peaceful conduct of the congresses showed that the people had accepted the party in the state.

He called on the members of the party to ensure justice and fairness in all their dealings.

“I urge you to be conscious of the responsibility vested on you and I want you to meet monthly in other to satisfy the yearning of the people that elected you.

Ganduje said the recent supreme court judgment would not affect the outcome of the congress.

“There is no fear because the supreme court ruling was referring to the executives of our party at the national level. But we do not have executives. What we have is Extraordinary Committee on Convention and Congresses all over the country,” he said.

The representative of APC National Headquarters, Dr Tony Nwoye commended the process in the state and urged all officials to always stick to the party’s philosophy.

“I can see that election is conducted, consensus done and affirmation done also. We thank the governor for the process. I am happy to also see women participation in the process,” he said.

The state Chairman of the Congress Committee, Alhaji Ya’u Yan- Shana said that all the 27 officials of the party at Ganduje ward were elected based on consensus.

“The consensus was peaceful as I witnessed in all the places I visited today across the state,” he said.

Mr Ahmed Muhammed, the newly elected APC ward chairman who spoke on behalf of other members, promised to live up to expectations.

He applauded his supporters for the mandate given him and assured them that he would be just and fair.
