A Dangote Truck loaded with bags of cement on Saturday was involved in a lone accident on Ebute-Ero Bridge, Lagos.
The truck drive lost control on the bridge after experiencing break failure.
Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu said on arrival at the incident scene, it was observed that a branded Dangote Truck fully loaded with bags of cement had a lone accident and was obstructing a part of the road on the bridge.
“Investigations carried out by the LRT revealed that the Truck driver while in motion, had a mechanical fault (brake failure) and thereby almost ran over the bridge before it came to a halt.
“No loss of life nor injury recorded as a result of the incident.
“Emergency respoders (LRT, Nigeria police and LASTMA) are on ground awaiting LASEMA heavy-duty equipment for recovery,” he said.
