Enoch Adegoke has qualified for the Tokyo Olympics men’s 100m final, with a time of 10.00s.
He placed second behind Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes to earn an automatic slot in the final which takes place later today.
The other Nigerian in the Olympics semi-final, Usehoritse Itshekiri failed to finish the race.
He collapsed in pains some metres away from the finish line.
Adegoke, the Nigerian 100m champion stormed to a new Personal Best (PB) of 9.98s on Friday to win Heat 2 of the men’s 100m.
He beat current world leader, Treyvon Bromell, and European Champion, Zharnel Hughes.
