Former Kaduna State lawmaker, Shehu Sani has said that no one is safe in the country from kidnappers.

He said this in reaction to the kidnap of Alhaji Sani Idris, the Niger State Commissioner of Information, who was abducted by bandits on Monday.

Sani condemned the kidnap of the commissioner in a post on his Facebook page and described the incident as tragic.

He said the kidnap of a commissioner attests to the fact that no one is safe.

The ex-lawmaker said the federal and state governments must wake up and address the insecurity problem in Nigeria.

“The abduction of the Niger State commissioner of Information is tragic.This further attest to the fact that no one is safe.

“My prayers to him and other students of the Tegina Islamic school still in the hands of their abductors, he wrote.

“The federal and state governments must wake up and address this consuming danger.”
