Court of Appeal sitting in Kano on Tuesday nullified the June 30th judgment of Birkin Kudu Division of Jigawa State High Court which sacked Chief Victor Ike Oye as the APGA National Chairman.

With the court’s ruling then, the victory of Prof. Charles Soludo as APGA’s candidate for the November 6, 2021 governorship election in Imo, was nullified.

In an unanimously judgment delivered on Tuesday , the Appellate court disagreed with the lower court which ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize Mr. Jude Okeke, its faction of the party and their gubernatorial candidate Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji.

The Appeal court also ruled that the Jigawa High Court has no territorial jurisdiction to entertain the case ad binitio.

With this the coast is now clear for Soludo to contest the November 6, 2021 governorship election under APGA.
